Our partnership has also helped communities move from discussion to action. Village surveys across 30 locations created a clearer picture of needs, assets, and priorities. Gram Swabhimaan meetings in 48 villages brought people together to identify shared goals — from water body rejuvenation to livelihoods and skill-building. In several places, this led directly to local action, including creek restoration and community green spaces.

Nature’s Club has been a vital partner in our Odisha journey — helping turn place-based ideas into grounded, visible action. Their deep roots in coastal communities, practical understanding of local realities, and commitment to ecological stewardship make them the kind of partner every flourishing place needs.
Together, we have worked across Odisha’s coastal landscapes to strengthen climate resilience, local leadership, and community participation. Through the Climate Champions programme, 120 young women and grassroots leaders were supported to build confidence and capability as public problem solvers. These champions went on to map village needs, surface opportunities, and help communities respond to local challenges with clarity and ownership.

At a wider scale, Nature’s Club has been central to shaping Odisha’s coastal future through the Mangrove Patha Utsav — a state-level convening that connected government, civil society, researchers, and citizens around pathways for a flourishing coastal Odisha. Together, we helped make mangroves not just an environmental issue, but a story about economy, dignity, and long-term resilience.
This partnership reflects what we believe deeply: when local trust meets shared tools, networks, and imagination, change becomes practical. Nature’s Club brings the credibility of being from the place. We bring methods to connect actors and unlock momentum. Together, we are helping show what a flourishing Odisha can look like.
